STRUGGLES FOR INDEPENDENCE
- The library has books and encyclopedias that will be useful for this project. Be sure to check the Biographical Encyclopedia for individuals and General Encyclopedias for events. Read the World Book article for an introduction to your topic.
- Search the Vancouver Public Library for more books.
- For online biographies select "Who2" from the Biography section of the Reference Desk. This site will give you some basic information and a few good sites.
- Use the Library of Congress Country Studies for information about people and events. Select a country and then scroll through the Table of Contents to find the information that you require.
- Search Strategies: Search for your topic in Vivisimo. This search engine groups sites by topic.
